Holy smokes. I feel like I'm 11 years old reading JP for the first time. I haven't felt this hunger for knowledge in years. I need to learn everything possible about cybersecurity like, yesterday! I freaking hate Gragg/Loki. I've been lurking and chatting on forums on the web and talked about this and some assured me that he gets super awesome in part 2 and in Freedom, but recently I finally saw other girls in the forum (shocker for this series LOL), and they all agreed he's just creepy and weird. The twist with Ross at the end of part 1 was such a damn shocker. I'm so stupid I thought he was speaking Russian...it's Greek!! oops! FREE MY BOY PETER!! he did nothing wrong!! and they knew that!! they used him as a scapegoat!! and then convinced themselves!! don't piss me off!!! I hope Gragg dies in Freedom. Sobols already dead so someone has to take his place in my anger. How are you gonna be the smartest guy on the planet and use that knowledge to do what you did to the operatives in the mansion raid. what the actual heck. his mic was permanently melted into his skin. the rest of them burned alive????? I think the scarily accurate proceedings of all of this in the book makes it just so much more terrifying to me. It's so plausible despite the outlandishness...and this was in 2004. WIth the tech we have today...the drones..the smart homes. I shudder to think what would happen if someone as smart as Sobol found this series and got the wrong idea. Anyways greta book everyone should read it. Can't wait to finish it.
